Working on this conjured up the strong feelings I had at the beginning of Covid-19 Pandemic with the murder of George Floyd (among many others). I often find it difficult to empathize with others who hold such reverence for a flag that's continually used for the strangulation of Black and brown men, women, and children, amongst other groups such as queer and disabled folx.
